Weds happenings!

Good morning. Been thinking about what I want to write/share with you all today and here are some random thoughts. Hopefully my blog will be more of an online journal in the days/months to come, but today, I just have several random thoughts running through my mind:

* Went to a LONG church board meeting last night. It was a rough one, too. Lots of things which had been "festering" for several months came out in the open, which was good, in a sense. Sometimes it amazes me how much a church family is like our own family and we have hurts and joys with our church family just as much (sometimes more) than we do with our own families. However, we also treat them just as bad, if not worse, sometimes than our own families. Why do we do that? Anyway, I think we are on the verge of something great ... if we just allow God's will to be done and our hearts to be moved and touched.

* Morgan will "graduate" from 6th grade 2 weeks from today. Oh my word. I can't believe my baby girl is going to be in 7th grade in the fall. That's soooooo hard for me to believe. It seems like only yesterday that I was holding her in my arms and nursing her and watching her sit up and learn to walk, run, play out in the yard. *tears* My, how time flies. These are gonna be a few "trying" years ahead, I'm sure, but for the most part, we have a good mother/daughter relationship and I'm proud of her for that. The above pictures are from the "photo shoot" I took of her on Saturday. (Obviously, I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures down here under this paragraph. I'll have to work on that - Oh Kim, can you help me with that, please?) :)

* This weekend, I'm going with a friend to Michigan (to meet another friend) to a scrapbook convention and I cannot wait. It'll be good "girl time" with my girl friends and some great "soul" time too. You know, scrapping is good for my soul!!!!
