Jo Bros and Morgan

Isn't this picture hilarious!!!! My friend, Marisa, photoshops pictures all the time and this is her latest creation! Morgan is gonna LOVE it! (She hasn't seen it yet)



Anyway, speaking of Morgan ... she's been in a lot of pain lately. We've got an appointment with a specialist next week (finally!) because of her back. She's been having back problems off and on for several months, but lately, it's gotten 100 times worse! We've been to ER, been to the dr, called the dr, etc. and we have finally been referred to a specialist. We started PT yesterday - thanks to Allison who works at the hospital - and Morgan got fitted for a back brace to wear under her clothes for awhile and see if that helps support her back.



They are thinking it is something called spondylosis/spondylothesis or something like that. It's when a vertebra gets "slipped out" of its normal place and the disc under it then either bulges or herniates or somehow is inflamed and affected by the displacement of the vertebra. Lovely! NOT!!! Lots of pain ... YES!



So, she's out of gym/swimming all this week and next ... and then she's out of school, so it doesn't matter about that anymore. The dr seems to think with PT, exercise and rest, the vertebra either will "slip back" into place or not. She will likely have this "problem" a lot in life ... UGH! Not happy about hearing that!



But ... this is mainly all speculation from Allison and our main doctor, we haven't seen the specialist yet. That's next week on Tuesday morning. He may end up doing some more x-rays or an MRI or something to make sure that is what it is. I'm hoping with all the pain meds Morgan is on now (and prednisone as of this past weekend), the pain can be a little bit alleviated by next week ... and especially in 3 weeks, when we go to MYRTLE BEACH for vacation!



A back brace ... swimsuit ... flip flops ... just don't go together!!!! LOL
