Tuesday news!
Well, see those pictures down below in the previous post? My life/house is still a mess. The mess is a little different now ... pictures are at home on my camera ... but still a mess. The mess has now progressed from the dining room to the living room and sun room! UGH!
This weekend, we ... well, let me rephrase that ... Mary and IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII decided that the wall and a half of wall paper in the living room HAD to come down because it did NOT match the new paint/color on the walls. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ... instead of moving our furniture out of the dining room to get the dining room ready to have the carpet taken up, we started stripping wall paper. It wasn't too bad (really, it wasn't) but it took most of the evening on Saturday, then church and a b-day party on Sunday afternoon, so we finished stripping it on Sunday evening and cleaned up the mess. Last night, after a long Monday at work, Mike sanded painted (he had "puttied the walls" on Sunday night) the living room wall and a half. It is looking good. That wall - for some odd reason - has more cracks in it than the other walls. He thinks it has something to do with the fire place being on that wall, but who knows?! Anyway, he sanded and painted last night. It looks better this morning, now that the paint is dry.
Morgan has a band concert tonight, so we won't be doing much of anything ... except maybe moving some furniture from one room to the other - feels like moving piles of dirt! ha! Anyway ... once we get the room all painted (which it is almost there), we will then start ripping up carpet and padding in the dining room, painting trim and then moving things back in there so that Mike can "polyurethane" the floors in the living room and sun room first. YAY! We'll see how that goes.
It's a mess, but ... I think we will really be happy with it in the long run! AND ... Guess what I'm getting for my b-day next week? A new roll top desk ........... yay! When you turn the big 4-0, you should get a BIG present, don't you think?!?!?!?!

OH my goodness!! YOu are doing a major remodel there it sounds like! I can't wait to see the finished product! How fun. :)
And yes!! I think you should get a big present for your bit 4-0 birthday!!
