Goodness Gracious!!
It has been almost a week since I posted last ... where does time go??? (Well, in my life lately, it's been spent at the doctor's office, the hospital, etc.) ha!
An update on my family:
Morgan had her MRI last Tuesday night on her back ... we went back to the doctor on Monday afternoon for the results. Luckily (and frustratingly, sort of), the results were negative ... which mean "normal". However, the doctor KNOWS that something is wrong with her back. She IS in pain ... we just don't seem to know the cause as of this moment. The doctor seems to think that the compression fracture that she suffered in October, 2006 had SOMETHING to do with her back problems now ... only to be aggravated this semester by gym class and running and such activities ... so, his thoughts are these: Apparently her ligament between T-12 and whatever other number he said seem to be "grissly" and have arthritis in them ... yes, you read that right, arthritis at age 14??? Strange ... so he prescribed some new arthritis medicine/topical gel to put on her back 3-4 times per day and see if that helps. If not, and if in a couple of months, she's no better -- we are to go back and possibly have cortisone injections in her back between that T-12 and other number vertebra! Uh ... in a word ... NO! Hopefully we will NOT have to do that to relieve Morgan's pain. Hopefully, this gel will work and the fact that she is not in gym during the summer, hopefully the pain will subside on its own.
Then there's Mike ... remember, he tore his calf muscle last Monday night at softball practice (his gastrocnemius solius muscle). Well, we went to the ortho surgeon on Friday just to make SURE that was all it was ... it was, thank goodness!!! He does NOT have to have surgery, thank goodness!!!! He does, however, have to wear this CAM walker/boot/cast type thing for the next 4-6 weeks and do exercises, etc. He went back to work this week ... is very sore of an afternoon when he comes home ... and is planning to GOLF next week in Myrtle Beach when we are on vacation!
I can't blame him for WANTING to TRY to golf, but I don't know if he's gonna make it or not. Hopefully, he WILL wear the boot and HOPEFULLY he will be able to go without crutches next week, but who knows. We shall see.
Lots to get done around here this week before leaving on vacation over the weekend. Plus, my boss is out - for his surgery - this month, so I'm getting lots of stuff done while he's gone! YAY!
Happy Hump Day!

Good to see your post! I hate that they weren't able to give you guys a better answer to what is going on with Morgan. I sure hope the ointment and such work for her and make things better! And no surgery for Mike is wonderful! I know that is a relief. I am keeping my fingers crossed that vacation isn't to hard on him and he can enjoy it without the crutches!
