TGIF !!!!!!!!

Thank goodness for Fridays!

Well, the update on my dad is this: (briefly)

After LOTS and LOTS of tests, poking, prodding, blood work, scopes, etc. ... the diagnosis is: pancreatitis. No real reason, no real known cause, just pancreatitis. UGH! What a pain ... literally. At one point this week, the dr thought maybe he had another blockage (like last year) or that there had been scar tissue grow back from his incision last year and he would need to go in and remove the scar tissue, etc. ... which would mean another MAJOR surgery ... so we're very thankful that did not have to happen.

We don't really know what caused his pancreatitis ... which is "inflammation of the pancreas". Sometimes food is the culprit, other times some "sludge" from your gall bladder gets in and around the pancreas and inflames it, other times, who knows?! So, for now, he's just to watch what he eats and see what might hurt or what doesn't hurt, and if he starts getting that pain again, DON"T WAIT SO LONG this time, but rather, come to the hospital and get an IV started and figure out what's causing the pain.
