Shopping for ... bras!!!!!
Ok, let me briefly explain my evening ...
I am helping one of our clients in the evenings (maybe 2 evenings per week for a couple of hours) who was in an automobile accident back in May and can't get around and do some things for herself and her 80 year old mother, with whom she lives. Mostly, I've swept, dusted, mopped, picked up things around the house, cooked a few things, etc. for her. Well, she had asked me to take her to Muncie last night to get a new outfit (shoes, slip, bra, etc) for a wedding she has this coming weekend. Ok, fine.
Well, this lady is a rather large lady, but not humongous or anything. She's real nice. HOWEVER, because of her bruising and swelling and all that, we were looking for a 42F bra! HELLO!!!! I have never even LOOKED for a bra that size before in my life. (Here I am with my little 36B bra!!!) :) TMI, I know. Sorry.
Anyway, we looked at LS Ayres, Victoria's Secret, Sears, JC Penney's, Elder Beerman, etc. UGH! We were also looking for black shoes, necklace, earrings, hose, jacket or shawl for the outfit she had found at home (to dress it up a little bit), etc. Oh my word! All this - while she is walking like a SNAIL because she is on a walker - from the wreck - and can't walk all that fast. So, at one point, I told her I would go to the other end of the mall and look at JC Penney's for her so she didn't have to walk that far.
She was getting super tired, I could tell. Well, lo and behold, JC Penney's had ONE 42F black bra. Oh yeah, I forgot ... another problem was ... IF we found a size 42F bra, it HAD to be black to go with her black blouse, skirt, etc. UGH! (Not that we found any other 42F bras) Anyway ... so I went clear back across the mall to get her (where she was resting on a bench) and took her out to the car and DROVE around to the other side of the mall closer to JC Penney's and took her inside to try it on - along with the black half slip that we found!
By this time, she was really tired and couldn't hardly walk with her cane and carry her purse at the same time, so I was carrying the bra, slip, etc. to the fitting room. Oh my word! If she had asked me to HELP HER TRY ON THE BRA, I would have died! NO NO NO NO NO NO! She's nice, but ............. I don't do BOOBIES!!!!! ;)
She thanked me for carrying it back there and then I promptly turned around and closed the fitting room door for HER to try it on by herself not giving her an ounce of time to even think about asking me to stay and HELP her .. and YAY! It fit!!!!
So, on the way home, she says to me: Now, don't be mad if I end up NOT going to the wedding on Saturday! WHAT?????????????? You have GOT to be kidding me!! We just spent $$$$ on black shoes, black jewelry, black bra, black half slip, black shawl thing and you MIGHT NOT GO! (Don't get me wrong, I totally understand that she might be hurting too much to go, but it was just the thought of searching for this 42F bra and her possibly NOT going!)

Oh my word. LOL I'd just die if I went thru all of that to help someone and then they ended up not going to the wedding???? OHH Man, I hope for her sake she rest up and attends that wedding! In her new black 42F bra!!!
