Let's get into the spirit!!!!

Looks like everyone (including Rosie) is getting into the Halloween spirit these days, huh!!!! ha!
A friend of mine (is that what you call her?!) bought this "bat headband" for me soon after my "bat in the house" story from a few weeks ago. Isn't she sweet?! Uh ................ NOT! Anyway ... Morgan thought Rosie would like to wear them for his "halloween costume" and she took some pics the other day! Cute!
(No clue why my type is typing "centered" again today)
Anyway ... we are leaving today after work to go to Gatlinburg with some friends for the long weekend. Thursday/Friday is "fall break" for our school kids and Mike and I decided to take the time off as well and visit Gatlinburg again. If you'll recall ... as some of you know ... the only other time we've been to Gatlinburg (with these same friends) was a few spring breaks ago (which was the end of March/first of April) and it was SNOWING and RAINING all week long. UGH! YUCKY WEATHER! So, we are hoping for a little bit better weather this time around. From the sounds of things, it's still gonna be quite chilly, but hopefully, no SNOW in October! We didn't even get to go to the mountains last time because it was honestly snowing or raining the entire time ... except for our last day there. The boys and kids got to go go-karting the last day we were there and that's the ONLY outside activity we did all week long! This time, we're hoping for much better weather and some more "outside/cheap/free" activities! ha! PLUS ... this time, we're doing it with a 7 1/2 month old ... who MIGHT put a damper on some activities ... we'll see. Hope the 8 hour drive is OK for her! UGH!
Went to see Granny last night ... I truly think she's given up on life right now. I think she is just ready to go. She didn't eat/drink anything while we were there at all ... and I doubt she had eaten anything during the day either. I think she thinks in her mind if she gets dehydrated enough, she'll just wither away. And who could blame her?! This isn't living. She hasn't been "living" the past 2-3 months, now has she? No. That nursing home is so dark and gloomy. Don't get me wrong, the girls are fine, it's just the whole concept of living the rest of your life in a little 1/2 of a room ... in stead of your own home ... but she cannot possibly go home because she is so weak. It's just sad, so sad, to see her like this. It's hard for me to go visit, but I knew I must ... since we'll be gone this weekend.
Ok, well it's off to finish up my work for the day/week and get things ready to go this afternoon. We're leaving at 4 p.m. YAY!
Happy Fall Break!!!!
