What a whirlwind weekend!

Bright, bright! What did I tell you about needing sun glasses in the children's church room after we painted, huh?!

Ok, so we started out Friday night by going to the church (after work) and moving everything off the walls, out into the middle of the room, etc. and taped off all the woodwork, windows, door frames, etc. to get READY to paint!

This is a picture of my dad and Morgan ... we painted the first (main) wall yellow and then a side wall was painted blue ...

This wall is actually orange (but it looks kind of yellow in the picture), and it is a really pretty "dreamsicle" orange color.

And then there's the Hot pink wall! Woosh! Bright.

Here, you can see a portion of the pink wall, the lime green wall (which is my favorite) and the purple wall (in the background). It looks pretty "cool"!

Here, you can see a portion of those 3 walls yet again.

The goof balls .........

Here is the front (main) wall with our bulletin board and mission statement.

Here's one of the walls where the kids first come into the classroom (with another "polar" bulletin board!) Along with another picture of the front, main wall with the quilt (that the kids made) and the bulletin board and mission statement.

It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would take. We worked about 2-3 hours on Friday night getting things "ready" for painting and then painted the yellow wall and the blue wall. We then left and came back on Saturday morning and worked for about 4-5 hours painting the orange wall, purple wall, green wall and pink wall. Then we put everything back on the walls and I made new bulletin boards for each room and that was it!

I went home ... hoping to get a little rest that afternoon ... but mom called and wanted me to come over and help her go through "a little fabric" at Granny's house. So, I did. See pictures below. This is a whole ROOM of fabric. This could be the next Joann Fabrics sale ... I kid you not! Look at all that fabric!!! (This is one side of the room)

This is another side of the room ... and she has about 15-20 BOLTS of fabric in the other room still that need to be brought into the "fabric" room. Ugh!

So, we worked over at Granny's from about 4 p.m. until about 9 p.m. ... what a day!!! I then went home, took a hot shower and went to bed by about 10 p.m.

Sunday, we had church and LeeAnne and I had children's church ... luckily, this week, SHE was in charge of everything and I was just there to "monitor" the kids with her. YAY! I'm glad we worked it out like that ... I couldn't have dealt with something ELSE to do this week! (Thanks, LeeAnne) After church, we went to Los to eat and then came home and I typed on the transcript I'm working on ... finished up all the main typing on it (547 pages) and now just have to work on all the exhibits and the index and table of contents pages, make copies of all the exhibits and get it bound in the booklets. It still takes quite awhile, but at least it's all typed!!! I brought some of it to work this morning to work on before I started actual "work" but my Word Perfect isn't working very well ... keeps locking up ... so I didn't get anything accomplished on it this morning! Guess I'll have to do all that at home now! UGH! What a pain!

Ok, enough of this post!!

Happy Monday!

Hey...I know I have already told you, but the CC room looks great! I am glad I was one of the first ones to enjoy it on Sunday! Have a good week!

With all that fabric, perhaps your mom could make me some curtains for my porch door window! Ha!
